“What was I thinking? This is stupid! Why did I try this?” my friend kept saying.
You see, we were going to do the zip line, and the hill was tough to climb! My friend has a bad knee, and it was really hard, but we had a destination to get to. My other friend and I got behind him and kept pushing him saying, “This is going to be great! You will be so glad you made this climb!”. We had to stop from time to time to readjust, but we kept on climbing. We kept encouraging! It was hard, and at different times we all doubted why we were still climbing!
Finally, we got to our destination at the top! We took in the view as we got ready. Next we loaded on the line to zip across. WOW! What an experience! My friend who had such a hard time uttered these words, “I am so glad I did that! Thank you, guys for pushing me!”
The climb on the way to where we want to be in life can be difficult, and the place that God wants us to climb to can sometimes seem out of reach. Even if we know the reward is great, the effort can sometimes seem like too much! But remember, together we can make it! So climb the hill, push each other, and let’s enjoy the Father’s rewards!
"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor:
If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up."
(Ecclesiastes 4:9-10)
